We are here to help you!

By sharing or talking through a difficulty with a trained counsellor you CAN find ways of resolving issues, changing perspectives and coping with life.

Your counsellor will not:

Tell you what to do

Give you ready made solutions to your issues

Your counsellor will:

Listen carefully to what you have to say

Encourage you to express your feelings

Help you to explore and understand your difficulties

Help you to find ways of resolving issues

Help you to change your perspectives

Maintain confidentiality, except in extreme situations (that will be explained to you)

Who are we?

About us

The counselling team consists of professionally trained counsellors, who receive regular supervision and are members of a professional organisation such as the Association of Christian Counsellors or the British Association for Counselling and Pyschotherapy.

Anyone is welcome

New Directions Counselling Service has a Christian foundation and adheres to Christian values.

We are open to all, regardless of background, outlook or religion.

Our primary concern is to help each person at their point of need.

Purpose

We exist to provide a confidential counselling service to people in Leighton-Linslade and the surrounding area.

We offer help to those who are struggling with difficult situations such as anxiety, depression, abuse, loss and relationship issues.

Do I have to pay?

Although we do ask for contributions towards our expenses, no one will be turned away because of an inability to pay.

All our counsellors work on a voluntary basis, but they incur costs in maintaining their professional standards. To help meet these, and other expenses, we suggest a payment according to your income.
